QS apprentice Sam wins CoTrain award

Sam McCoy is a Quantity Surveying apprentice working with Galliford Try, and has just completed his first year of his apprenticeship.

Sam was nominated by David Pulis, Senior Quantity Surveyor, for his pre construction work on a Procure 22 project. It was commented that Sam has willingness to step outside his comfort zone in order to learn more and has the desire to take on any task for the good of the team and project. His work ethic and ownership of tasks is impressive, along with his attitude and approach to work. David remarked that he is putting in place the right foundations to develop his career.

What was also pleasing was that David got all the people who were in the office together so that the award could be presented to Sam with all of his colleagues present. A nice touch for Sam.
