Operating primarily in London and the South East, we are a small team of highly professional, tenacious and innovative individuals. We work with hundreds of companies and, using inspiration and innovation, we support the implementation of new and better ways of working. 


Derek is the driving force behind the growth and development of the company. He has extensive experience and understanding of the issues affecting the built environment sector in the South East and has a wide network of contacts within industry and Government bodies

Trained in construction management, Derek gained his broader knowledge of the UK through his work with the Construction Industry Board, the national strategic forum for construction.

Andy joined SECBE in early 2021 and is responsible for the ongoing delivery and development of the CLOCS initiative. Andy has worked in various operational roles. 

Previously he worked in financial services before moving into the construction industry in 2010, spending 10 years as the General Manager for the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Andy uses his vast experience in membership models, marketing, training, business development and project development to help drive CLOCS forward.

Molly has over 10 years experience within skills and employment including previous experience working on Tideway one of the UKs biggest infrastructure projects managing all social value commitments . Molly is passionate about inspiring young people to choose a STEM career and is a real advocate for apprenticeships. In her previous role she completed a Project Management apprenticeship and APM Project Management qualification (PMQ) . Working in the construction industry offers great opportunities, one highlight from her career was being selected along with others in the site team to meet a member of the Royal family during a construction site visit .  

As CoTrains Apprenticeship Manager she will now be responsible for managing existing apprentices, training providers and hosts as well as leading on the recruitment and onboarding of new apprentices.

Sophie has worked in the Business Development sector for the past 8 years within the Automotive, HGV and Construction industries and will be responsible for expanding the CLOCS community and building strong relationships throughout the UK.

During lockdown Sophie trained as a business coach.

Megan’s role is to oversee the delivery, ongoing development and, continued success of existing CLOCS initiatives.

Megan has a background in technical and training coordination supporting businesses in the private and public sector with a focus on process management, project coordination and technical support. Megan has a BSc in Psychology and an APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ).

Anna is a shining example among CoTrain's apprentices, having completed her Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship journey with Distinction in 2023.

As a testament to her skills and dedication, Anna has been extended a permanent Office Manager role at SECBE, where she will play a pivotal role in bolstering workstreams and helping drive positive change in the sector.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Anna is also a passionate cook, continually astounding others with her culinary mastery.

Mark joined CoTrain in 2019 as an Apprenticeship Manager. Mark Pope had been working for CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) for ten years, with 8 of them as an apprenticeship officer in the Southampton Area, with his last two years as the CoTrain Shared Apprenticeship Co-ordinator.

Mark completed a 4 year Electrical Apprenticeship in the early 1980’s and went on to study for an HND in Heavy Current and Electronics. The electrical training has helped Mark follow different career paths working for an Electronics production equipment company for 15 years as an installation engineer, sales engineer and commercial & training Manager. This allowed him to travel with work and he has lived and worked in New York, California and Australia.

Will joined SECBE in 2019 as the Project Manager for SECBE’s newest workstream, IFLP (Innovative Future Leaders Programme). He has since become responsible for managing the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards – confidently managing 2 of SECBE’s programmes.

Will’s career started with an apprenticeship for the National Apprenticeship Service and went on to become an Operations and Programme Coordinator for a management and leadership consultancy. With huge amounts of experience in events & project management, both IFLP & the Awards are delivered smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard.

Anna is a CIM qualified professional with marketing experience in both the commercial and non-profit sectors. Anna has also worked in an international B2B company and the technology sector.

Anna is passionate about championing cultural and behaviour changes and provides marketing support to all SECBE programmes with her strategic vision and a broad range of marketing skills.

Becky has over 20 years accounting experience in both the travel and oil and gas industries, as well as the public sector and has covered many areas of the finance function during that time.

She looks after all the supplier, customer, and employee financial needs for SECBE.

Becky is also a professional will writer with her own business and very much enjoys working with people as well as numbers.
