Derek is the driving force behind the growth and development of the company. He has extensive experience and understanding of the issues affecting the built environment sector in the South East and has a wide network of contacts within industry and Government bodies
Trained in construction management, Derek gained his broader knowledge of the UK through his work with the Construction Industry Board, the national strategic forum for construction.

Andy joined SECBE in early 2021 and is responsible for the ongoing delivery and development of the CLOCS initiative. Andy has worked in various operational roles.
Previously he worked in financial services before moving into the construction industry in 2010, spending 10 years as the General Manager for the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Andy uses his vast experience in membership models, marketing, training, business development and project development to help drive CLOCS forward.

Megan’s role is to oversee the delivery, ongoing development and, continued success of existing CLOCS initiatives.
Megan has a background in technical and training coordination supporting businesses in the private and public sector with a focus on process management, project coordination and technical support. Megan has a BSc in Psychology and an APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ).

Anna has emerged as a standout talent among CoTrain's apprentices, completing her Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship with Distinction.
As SECBE's Office Manager, she plays a crucial role in streamlining operations, supporting workstreams, and driving positive change within the sector. Beyond her management duties, Anna is also instrumental in providing administrative support, onboarding new apprentices, and managing payroll. Her dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset to the CoTrain team.

Mark joined CoTrain in 2019 as an Apprenticeship Manager. Mark Pope had been working for CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) for ten years, with 8 of them as an apprenticeship officer in the Southampton Area, with his last two years as the CoTrain Shared Apprenticeship Co-ordinator.
Mark completed a 4 year Electrical Apprenticeship in the early 1980’s and went on to study for an HND in Heavy Current and Electronics. The electrical training has helped Mark follow different career paths working for an Electronics production equipment company for 15 years as an installation engineer, sales engineer and commercial & training Manager. This allowed him to travel with work and he has lived and worked in New York, California and Australia.
Will joined SECBE in 2019 as the Project Manager for SECBE’s newest workstream, IFLP (Innovative Future Leaders Programme). He has since become a Programme Director and is now responsible for managing the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards – confidently managing 2 of SECBE’s programmes. Will has also helped deliver events for partners such as Heathrow’s Supplier Awards.
Will’s career started with an apprenticeship for the National Apprenticeship Service and went on to become an Operations and Programme Coordinator for a management and leadership consultancy. With huge amounts of experience in events & project management, both IFLP & the Awards are delivered smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard.

Charmaine joined SECBE in May 2024 as Programme Development Director and is responsible for driving improvement and the successful delivery of the CoTrain programme and the new development of the People Development Strategy Services.
She previously delivered the Green Skills Programme for Mayors Skills Academy and the Greater London Authority/Groundwork within pan London, promoting and encouraging talent into the sector. Charmaine has also worked closely with employers and training providers to future proof training within the sector.
Charmaine has a vast experience building Partnership/Stakeholder and Employer Engagement relationships with a strong focus on Sales to deliver positive return on investment within the welfare to work and commercial sectors.

Sairish is a dynamic marketing professional with a strong educational background and extensive industry experience.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management and a certification in Digital Marketing, she combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills to excel in her field.
With a career spanning over a decade, Sairish has demonstrated her proficiency in strategic communication planning, content management, digital marketing, leadership and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Sue is the Events & Marketing Coordinator at SECBE with focus on helping to bring together the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards.
Sue has an extensive background working in Marketing, Events and Training with experience working in start-ups and the technology sector.
She has supported a number of companies to deliver their events and training programs to a high standard and has a broad range of marketing skills.
Aaron is a versatile and self-motivated professional, he brings a wealth of expertise in project management and operations to the SECBE team and the CLOCS program. His role centres around overseeing the efficient execution and successful delivery of the CLOCS initiative.
With a solid background in the telecom construction industry, Aaron has spent over 5 years collaborating with field operations and design management teams. During this time, he provided crucial support to major operators in the industry. Aaron uses his project management, stakeholder, coordination, marketing, and dependency management skills in order to assist the growth in the CLOCS program. Aaron has a BSc (Hons) in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Surrey.

Andy brings a wealth of experience to SECBE, having dedicated his entire career to the field of finance. After seven years of rigorous training, he earned his qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Over the years, Andy has held various finance roles across a wide range of industries, showcasing his versatility and deep understanding of financial management.
In June 2024, Andy embarked on an exciting new challenge by joining SECBE. While the construction industry is a new frontier for him, his extensive background in finance equips him with the skills and insights needed to excel in this sector. Andy is eager to leverage his expertise to support SECBE's financial goals and contribute to its continued success.
Sarah joined CoTrain in August 2024 as an Apprenticeship Manager, bringing over 30 years of experience in education. In this role, she manages apprentices, training providers, and hosts, while also leading the recruitment and onboarding of new apprentices alongside Helen Banning.
With a strong background in teaching, management, and consultancy, Sarah has spent her career training, coaching, and mentoring educators. Known for her creativity and passion, she is a motivational leader who excels in advising and inspiring others. In 2010, her expertise led to her involvement with Teachers Media, where she planned and featured in two training films focused on innovative coaching and teaching methodologies. Sarah is widely recognized as a versatile and innovative role model in her field.

Helen joined the CoTrain team as an Apprenticeship Manager in August 2024. Along with Sarah Hall, she will now be responsible for managing existing apprentices, training providers and hosts as well as leading on the recruitment and onboarding of new apprentices.
After nearly thirty years in education initially working as a class teacher, then as Head of Department in schools both in the North West and the South East, Helen has guided and supported hundreds of young people to become the best versions of themselves. As an outstanding practitioner, she has mentored Trainee Teachers from Reading University and has also devised and delivered training programmes for Local Authorities for Newly Qualified Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
